Get Them Coming Back with Cash Bonus

In the past month, I've seen a number or retailers get creative with getting customers back in the store with cash back offers.  At the Beachworks surf shop in the Roseville Galleria Mall in California, the sign above certainly got my attention.  For every $50 spent in the store, customers earn $25 in "Come Back Cash" (CB$).  Last week, I purchased a vacuum sweeper at Kohl's and was rewarded  with a $20 "Kohl's Cash" Coupon for my $100 purchase.  Guess what?  That's a coupon I'll definitely use!

And, I thought, what a great idea to tie into buy back and other bookstore promotions.  You build you customer database with loyalty offers such as these so that future promotions can build on the success of earlier promotions.  What a concept!
